Must have begun your project no more than six months prior to the deadline (must apply within the first 6 months since you joined your thesis lab)

Key Eligibility Criteria

Must have completed no more than 36 months of full-time equivalent study in the doctoral program, the PhD portion of the joint professional undergraduate/PhD program (such as MD/PhD, JD/PhD, DVM/PhD) or the joint program (such as MA/PhD, MSc/PhD, MBA/PhD) for which you are requesting funding by December 31 of the calendar year of your application.
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada or protected person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) as of the application deadline; and
Have completed at least one previous undergraduate or graduate degree at a Canadian institution.
You can apply a maximum of three times to the CGRS D.
You can submit a maximum of one Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master's (CGRS M), Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Doctoral (CGRS D), or Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) application per academic year to either CIHR, NSERC or SSHRC. If you submit more than one application, only the eligible application submitted first will be retained.

Croucher Scholarships for Doctoral Study

Key Eligibility Criteria

Must be a permanent resident of Hong Kong
Must have obtained First Class Honours or equivalent qualifications in their first degree. Otherwise will be expected to be able to receive substantively a higher degree (e.g. MSc or MPhil degree) by September of the year following the application to become eligible (MPhil transfer to doctoral candidature is not considered as equivalent).
Students in their final year of first degree studies may also apply, but any offer of award will be conditional on their obtaining First Class Honours or equivalent qualifications upon their graduation.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Must apply through Columbia's internal competition
Research must be within one of the listed fields of computer science (see web page)
Will complete all graduate coursework by the academic award year when the Fellowship begins
Students must remain enrolled full-time in the PhD program for the duration of the Fellowship or forfeit the award.
Google employees, and their spouses, children, and members of their household are not eligible.
Students that are already supported by a comparable industry award are not eligible. Government or non-profit organization funding is allowable.
